The sun showed up on Lucca right on the last day of the Fair of Santa Zita. During the days of the fair (from 24th al 28th of April this year) there is a floral exhibition market in Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, which attracts public and expositors from every part of Italy. This may be an alternative way of living Sunday, perhaps with a nice ride on our bikes too. The event is free and is open from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm.
Today is the Feast of Liberation in Italy and we celebrate as we always do: on the bike! Even today our tours don't stop. There's no better day to cycling, perhaps to get to the beach and spend a few hours under the sun. Despite the not exciting beginning of week and the almost 7 days of raining announced by the weather forecast we're still here cycling! Our tours and our rental activity go on, in spite of climatic conditions. Besides although the rain, the temperature is ideal to ride here in Lucca and the countryside! Lovely restaurant, small and cozy. The atmosphere of the Tuscan farmhouse, the very friendly staff, Mrs. Helen who welcomes you as a friend, you really feel at home.
The menu is very inviting, the dishes are derived from traditional recipes of the region, lightened by the skilful hand of the chef and the genuine products used in the kitchen.
A good wine list, but since we are in Castelnuovo Berardenga I recommend not go out from Tuscany: Brunello, Chianti and Montepulciano.
