Monti Pisani circuit

The Pisan Mountains are a small mountain range separating Lucca from Pisa, and the river Arno from the river Serchio, that rear up as an imposing island standing between the plains of Lucca and Pisa, once marshland but now beautiful natural areas with many small farms and old hamlets.

By exploiting routes along the rivers and country roads we shall go right round the Pisan Mountains and encounter old villages such as San Giuliano Terme and Vicopisano, fascinating fortresses such as the Ripafratta fort and the Caprona tower along with the  many delightful small animals that will accompany us on our ride.

With a deviation of only 10 kilometres, there and back, it is also possible to reach the centre of Pisa.
