The tour starts on the historical walls, a pedestrian circular park of 4 km all around Lucca, a kind of terrace over the town. After a quick passage inside the city center, thru the narrow streets surrounded by medieval buildings, churches and monuments, we cross the short residential area to meet the Serchio River and its park, characterized by two white gravel roads following the water, where we can ride our bike, far from the urban noise. From here you can admire the typical Tuscan countryside, made of hills and narrow roads surrounded by seasonal flowers and fruits and olive groves. Last part of the tour is just on these local roads, but on plain, for this time...

The organic farm is very close to the river and we will be soon looking at its vineyard and green garden. The farmer (one of the real last farmers) will introduce us to his land and to his wife, the friendly and impetuous lady who will prepare our merenda / light dinner with their homegrown fresh food harvested from the earth. The shy farmer Paolo will invite all us to taste his organic oil, red and white wine coupled with seasonal food coming from its vegetables garden and cooked by his wife (depending on the season, vegetables, omelets, pinzimonio, cheese, salami, bruschetta...)
After this real experience we will find a little of energy more to come back to Lucca by bike, considering that the way back is very quick, 20 minutes straight to Lucca.
