Lucca and Cinque Terre

You will be travelling through two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, neighbors but completely different for landscape, history, culture and food, touching some of the most famous places in the world: Lucca, Pisa, the Apuan Alps and the Cinque Terre. Five days of athletic cycling over distances of between 60 and 90 km with altitude gains of up to 1200 meters, plus a day's trekking through breathtaking landscapes among hills, mountains and the sea.

Cycling from Lucca Tuscany for a pleasant ride to discover the surrounding countryside with its medieval villages dotted among the hills, as far as the famous Versilia's coast, set between the sea and the fascinating Apuan Alps, unique with their white marble rock walls.

The Cipollaio climb will take you near the quarries that for centuries supplied the blocks of marble used by Michelangelo to create his most beautiful sculptures.

The following days will be dedicated to discovering the wonderful coast of Liguria, with the fascinating seafaring town of Lerici looking out over the Gulf of Poets, named for the numerous artists and writers who chose to settle there, seduced by this "watery Amphitheatre" and one day dedicate to a Cinque Terre trek.

Finally, the backdrop for your walking and cycling excursions will be the Cinque Terre, a natural paradise sheer above the sea where the terraces supported by dry stone walls are cultivated with vines and olives, thanks to the lucky sunny position sheltered from the north winds.

Don't miss out on our new tour combining an athletic feat with the pleasure of discovering extraordinary landscapes.
