The best way to enjoy Lucca and Pisa is travelling by bike visiting the historic center, largely pedestrian, to discover and admire every glance of the city without haste and with little effort. What better than to go from one historic city to another ... through the streets marked by the Serchio River, once the scene of bitter battles, being able to freely admire the countryside and the villages that make it a splendid setting?

The route is easy, especially in the plains and along the white roads around the river. Therefore, it is suitable for all those who are physically fit without being cyclists or athletes.

The meeting will be at 9:30 at our store in via Elisa, 26/28, in the center of Lucca, where you can choose your bike, fill your bottle, fasten your helmet and leave for our adventure.

After the obligatory "tour of the walls" we reach the riverside park where starts the itinerary along the left bank of the river. You can pedal in peace and tranquility accompanied by the chirping of birds and surrounded by the magnificent panorama of the Apuan Alps and by the rolling hills of Lucca, where they produce excellent wines and olive oil. After crossing the villages of Ripafratta and San Giuliano Terme, with its fortifications and towers used in the wars between Lucca and Pisa, we reach the town of the leaning tower.

Once in Pisa, after taking the inevitable photos supporting the leaning tower, we will reach the bikes deposit near the train station and you will be free to decide how to spend the rest of the day in Pisa.  Pisa is just 25 minutes from Lucca by local train and this is the easier way to come back of the town.
