Ad hoc preparation to make sure you do not to arrive at the big day unprepared. In the morning you’ll take a test cycle along a part of the route in the midst of stunning landscape, accompanied by the intense aroma of autumn and the vineyards (the harvest is not long finished). The afternoon brings a well-earned rest in the peace and quiet of the hotel in Radda in Chianti. There will also be time for drinking local wines and tasting typical products. It is impossible to give up a good glass of Chianti or Brunello, or the delicious food based on the products from Siena. We will not exaggerate because we have to prepare for the Eroica.
If anyone wants to live as an athlete, there is no problem: pasta with oil, white meat, and salad are available.
The Eroica is not just a race; it is a celebration for cycling enthusiasts. On Sunday, the most suitable route can be chosen freely. Do not forget that the Eroica is not a race, but the celebration of those who love cycling.

Thursday October 3th  - Castello di Fonterutoli
Rooms are assigned, and then we can relax. At 5 pm we receive the bikes and make them ready for this adventure. Meeting with the team and friends and warm up on Chianti road.

Friday October 4th - Radda circuit
In the morning, we go and discover the northern ring of the Eroica, which corresponds to the first and last part of the 209 km route. We cross the Chianti Classico area, its famous vineyards and the high wooded hills. Breathtaking panoramas can be admired and excellent wines can be tasted from the last white road leading to Vertine through the vineyards and then to Gaiole (from which participants usually leave), up to the Brolio castle, which is a jewel of the lands of the Ricasoli family. We cover the last slope through the park of the sculptures in order to reach Vagliagli, before arriving at Radda along the last section of white roads. That is, in this case, the finish of our Eroica.

Saturday October 5th - Program on your choise..
We have decided that this day has a program "on your choise"  to allow everyone to get ready for the event. The following activities are available and everyone can decide if taking part on all or just one of them:
-Cycling on Panzano in Chianti circuit with one of our guides;
-Relaxing in the spa of the hotel;
-Visiting the market of vintage bicycles in Gaiole in Chianti and have the "goody bag" about Eroica.

Sunday October 6th - The event
It has not dawned yet, but the great day has come. From 4 am to 5 am, we have breakfast, and then we move to Gaiole to start the race. The long routes start at 5 am (135 and 205); the other ones at 8.30 am.
At 3 pm, after the prize-giving ceremony, we go back to the hotel and relax a few hours.
At 8 pm, we have an abundant dinner based on delicious local food: pici, boar meat, cinta and a lot of wine. A small party and a prize-giving ceremony follow.

Monday 7th October - Last day
Everyone wants to continue the trip, but, unfortunately, many of us have to go back to daily life. See you next year!

There are 5 available routes in Eroica:

Leisure Route (46 Km): This route lasts about 3 hours and it goes through the Castello di Brolio and Pianella.

Black Rooster (81 Km): Thought to allow everyone to enjoy the beauties of Chianti.
Difference mt. 1618 | Grazvel 34km | 

Short route (106 Km): The first real taste at the Eroica route. It lasts about 4 hours, goes through Radda in Chianti and the hystoric Ristoro di Lamole.
Difference mt. 1793 | Gravel 59km |

Medium route - Crete Senesi (135 Km): Still a viable rout for many cyclists, but that lasts uyp to 10/12 hours. The track goes through Buonconvento, Radi and Castelnuovo Berardenga, other then the famous climb of Monte Sante Marie.

Long route (212.5 Km): The true "heroic" route, that lasts even 15 or more hours. It deeply immerges in the wonders of the Chianti region and the Siena surroundings.
