Luis rides bike between the two seas

After being run in February from Lucca to Rome and in April the "Ultra Milano-Sanremo", our friend Luis, on August 16th , has competed in another great adventure riding his bike more than 280 km through Italy from East to West. The idea to travel in only one day is not only born from the passion for sports but especially by the desire to engage in a series of hard tests.
The "Coast to Coast" started at dawn from
Milano Marittima after a dive in the Adriatic Sea and the route crossed the Po Valley and the beautiful cities of Forlì and Faenza; after that, Luis arrived close to Apennini mountains and visited the enchanting village of Brisighella and the small town of Marradi, that during the Second World War, was in the middle of the Gothic Line. After crossing the "Passo Colla", our friend arrived in Tuscany and ran his bike trough Borgo San Lorenzo, Fiesole (an ancient roman city as shown by the remains of the amphitheater), and Firenze, capital of Tuscany and birthplace of Italian Renaissance. The route from Faenza to Firenze is well know by Luis, who has joined several times the famous challenge named “100km del Passatoore”. The next stage of this beautiful adventure was Montelupo Fiorentino, famous for its ceramics since the Middle Ages and which have been found even in America and the Philippines; after passing by Fucecchio, ancient stage of the Via Francigena, Luis came in Lucca, before heading to the beach in Lido di Camaiore, where he concluded his coast-to-coast tour and deserved a bath in the Tirreno Sea after the long ride.
Even that time, Luis has completed another great sport challenge, always supported by
Tuscany Ride a Bike, with the intention to face together new challenges and repeat not only the tour "Lucca-Roma", but also cycling to discover Northern and Southern Italy.
