Run with Luis from Rome to Lucca.... to Perù!

Our friend Jose Luis Tani Stanghellini has decided to take on an extraordinary adventure: from April 8th to 10th will race walk “Ultra Milano-Sanremo”, the longest running event in Europe (in one step), with 48 hours to run 282.2 km!

And he will do it for the project "A Kilometer for Perù" by being an ambassador of the Association "Friends of Peru", to help the poorest parts of this South American country, in particular to make a soup kitchen for children and people in Cusco region, where 200 farmers live at 3000mt altitude, cultivating rocky terrain and living in houses without electricity.

But what better way to prepare a race, than completing another?

Luis also thinks so and since February 4th to 7th will run from Lucca in Rome, covering 385 km along the ancient Via Francigena in 4 stages, through landscapes, places and flavors that bring to life a thousand-year history, the pilgrims between sites footsteps Etruscan, medieval villages, castles and farms.

Tuscany Ride a Bike will not lose the chance to try a new bike, make a nice ride... and maybe even a snack with some beautiful wines of these lands? And mosttly, helping a friend for a good cause?

Of course not!! Paolo Tessandori will ride alongside Luis to the Rome, trying alternate routes in those sections where the Via Francigena is poorly suited to testing the new bike and trekking bikes that will accompany those who want to try out our tour this year.

Will Paolo and Luis arrive in Rome?

Or they will stop in some restaurants or farms? We’ll tell you step by step next week ... follow and support them!
